Unlock The Secrets Of Your Hidden Past Lives

“30 Days To Past Life Memories”

Lesson 10

“Guiding Your Past Life Regressions To Improve Your Life Nowadays”

The reality of ‘Creating Your Own Reality’

Many years ago I began the adventure of diving into “The Seth Material”, as transcribed by Jane Roberts and found it to be fascinating and life-changing, though a little complicated at first. Nowadays, I find I can read a whole page and actually understand most of what is being said, so I guess I must have progressed to some degree!

However, The Seth Material and much of the positive thinking/creative visualisation styled books that followed often gave the impression that it is easy to make changes - you just have to think in a certain way and everything else will follow.

If it was as easy as thinking positively and saying a few affirmations, we’d all surely be healthy and wealthy, in loving and fulfilling relationships, with a satisfying career that expresses our natural interests, abilities and creativity, and a sense of oneness with the universe...

Nice in theory - not so easy in practice, so the reality of ‘creating your own reality’ can often be quite frustrating and disappointing.

However, over the past 15 years or so I have managed to make quite major changes in myself, and the majority of the clients who came to see me, and now we’re going to start going through ‘how’.

Where do problems come from?

If the ‘You Create Your Own Reality’ idea is true, then all issues in our life originate from within us. Which means that in some way we are responsible for the financial ups and downs in our life, the loves and hurts of our relationships, the path we follow in our careers, jobs or interests and the experiences we have with just about every person place or situation we encounter.

And if we want something in the outside world to change, we have to first make the change in our inner world, that will allow the outer change to happen, or remain permanent. This is why I talked about beliefs and feelings/emotions in the previous lesson. It is our inner beliefs, driven by our emotions, that seem to create those experiences in the outer world.

New beliefs and emotions will therefore create new experiences.

But a big question is, ‘Where do these beliefs and emotions come from in the first place?”, because many people believe that if you find where they come from, they change or disappear.

This life, that life, now or never?

When I first trained as a Hypnotherapist I was told that, very often, problems nowadays are caused by upsets and traumas in our childhood. If we resolve or release those upsets and traumas, then any hold they may have had over us in modern life begins to be resolved and released too. And my experience most certainly backed that up. I saw what looked like many ‘miracles’ occurring on a daily basis as people managed to make profound and dramatic changes in their life, by releasing emotional wounds from their past.

But then I came across the idea of using Past Life Regression to do the same... and a puzzle began to form in my mind. If I could help people quite dramatically by undoing the traumas and difficulties of this life... and Past Life Therapists could do the same by undoing the difficulties or issues of previous lives with equal success, then how could both of us be right?

Surely problems either came from this life or previous lives... or was it both? And if so, how could we know which person needed which?

The idea of problems originating from the past... wherever or whenever that was... certainly fitted in with the doctrine of cause and effect... but then people like dear old ‘Seth’ came along, and others like him, who started saying there was no such thing as time. So how could there be a ‘past’ causing problems in the present?

My confusion deepened, and it even caused me some problems in my hypnotherapy practice, because I had built my whole success on helping people now by unlocking their ‘past’. Seth and others like him started saying there was only ‘Now’ and all time was simultaneous, so the idea of a ‘past’ was just an illusion.. or a limiting belief...

It was with this in mind that I began to understand time and past lives being more like the spokes of a wheel, as described in one of the first lessons. All actually happening NOW, but with the appearance of being in the ‘past’.

(Then teachings like ‘A Course In Miracles’ add an extra dimension, saying that even that is an illusion, and that the whole thing never even happened in the first place!)

So whether problems originate from this life, a past life, ‘now’ or never, really comes down to matter of personal belief (there’s that word again), but I’d like to add a few more of my own thoughts which help explain why this life therapy, past life therapy and ‘now’ styled therapies can all exist side by side and still be effective.

Beliefs and emotions... again!

It has been my experience that whenever a person has some form of emotional release during a session, then any issues associated with that emotional release will be lessened or resolved completely.

It is my personal belief that the limiting ideas we have in this life, and other lives, are really present (or accepted) within the greater part of ourselves that exists closer to the centre of that wheel. Beliefs and emotions held within this greater psyche will draw us to incarnate in specific lives, and then within those lives to have specific experiences that will create just the right circumstances for our spiritual growth.

If we use standard regression therapy we can trace back our early experiences in this life and uncover and release those thoughts and feelings that have been creating what we would call negative experiences in our life up until now. If we use Past Life Regression, we can trace back and access the underlying issues in previous lives that caused us to have those ‘this life’ experiences in the first place.

Either way, we are releasing limiting thoughts or ideas (beliefs) from our psyche, and if you are drawn towards Past Lives and Past Life Regression, it is probably a sign that you are more ready (and willing) to heal a greater part of your psyche and move towards a more multidimensional way of thinking.

How do we use this information?

So how do we actually use this idea to begin making changes in our life nowadays?

One very simple method I described earlier was to recognise or uncover patterns of behaviour and then just begin to act differently. (Remember the example of my Polynesian Warrior regression? In this case I wasn’t looking for anything specific, but when I used the exercises I recommend following a Past Life regression, information came to light that allowed me to actually see some of my limitations and change them right then.

But what if you have a feeling, or problem nowadays that you want to investigate? What do you do then?

The simplest and most effective way to do this, I have found, is to hold onto an idea or a sense of whatever your limitation is, as you go into the regression. It’s almost impossible to guide a regression directly, because then it all becomes too conscious and what we are looking for is unconscious information. But if you have a feeling or a sense of something, but let go of specific thoughts, then you are allowing your mind the space to go where it wants to, but it is more likely to follow a path that is associated with whatever you are feeling or sensing at the time.

For example, let’s say you have a health related problem. Don’t think about where it may have come from - just think about how it affects you nowadays, how it makes you feel, what it makes you have to do, or prevents you from doing. Get an overall sense of the impact of this problem on your life and use THAT feeling or idea as the guiding principle.

If you can allow yourself to loosen your muscles, relax your mind and yet feel certain feelings too (even if only subtly) as you go into the regression experience, you may begin to nudge your mind in the direction you need to go in to begin bringing about a resolution of that particular issue.

The initial result may be very subtle, or you may be surprised at what actually comes up but, as always, just go with whatever comes to mind first of all and take it from there. You may have a direct experience during the regression itself which is helpful, or it may be during the follow-up exercises that you begin to attain moments of enlightenment, though sometimes none of it may make any sense to begin with.

Remember, you have built up layers of (ego) protection and it can sometimes take a little while to break through.

Few More Examples

If money is your issue...

Think about how having no money makes you feel... about yourself and others? Is it a self-esteem issue? Do you think people will think less of you because you have no money (unsuccessful)? Or is it a control issue - you feel out of control of your life because you feel you need money to achieve the things you want to achieve?

If relationships are your issue... think about how you feel... is it unlovable? Undeserving? Expecting to be cheated on? Caught in a (duty) trap? a Fear trap? Afraid of intimacy? Afraid of being alone?

Whatever it is with you, hold an ‘impression’ of what relationships means to you in your mind as you go into the regression and see where it takes you. Again, you may have a direct experience or it may be more subtle. Either way, you are opening a doorway of possibility, telling your mind that you are on the lookout and ready for change.

Fears, phobias, anxiety, etc. - same applies. Capture a sense of your fear as you let go into the regression and then let your mind take over. Don’t look out or expect anything direct, because that will most likely just chase it away. Have a sense of your issue in mind, but then let go of the reigns and allow your mind to do what it thinks is best.

Tricks of the trade

You can do all this by yourself, of course, but it is obviously much, much easier when someone else is guiding you - either in person or in a recorded programme, but here are a couple of tips I use on a regular basis to help my clients get a more profound experience, that you can begin to use also..

1. Breathe through your mouth now and again.

As you settle down and relax, loosen your jaw muscles, allow your teeth to part and gently draw your breath in through your mouth, but taking it right down into your stomach. To get used to this, try breathing thorough mouth but making sure that your belly expands before your chest does. Once you get used to your belly expanding, allow your ribs to expand at the sides as you breathe in too.

As you do this, imagine that the breath is going right to the core of your feelings, your centre. And if you do this with your mouth slightly open, drawing the breath in through the mouth and down into your feelings, it often has an activating effect that seems to bring feelings closer to the surface.

Make sure you do this in a relaxed way, so that your breathing remains free and easy.

2. Speak out loud

This may feel awkward or even difficult or embarrassing at times, but the more you can express what you are experiencing out loud, verbally, the greater the sense of ‘release’ you will accomplish - even if no-one is listening. If you keep all thoughts  and ideas or images in your mind, that’s where they stay. But when you begin to verbalise EVERYTHING it is quite amazing at the extra information that comes out, but more importantly, the psychological impact this can have.

Many times our hidden beliefs and feelings stay hidden because that’s where we want them. When you begin to say out loud exactly what you are thinking, feeling or experiencing during a regression, you can no longer keep it a secret from yourself, and you will be far more likely to bring hidden issues to the surface.

Don’t Get Too Heavy - Remember It’s About Enlightenment

All this talk of feelings, emotions, issues and problems may sound a bit heavy for some people who are just interested in an unusual experience so please do not feel that you have to do this at all.

I just like to give you some tools to use if you want to, but please remember that the information here does not constitute any form of medical or psychological advice and if you are suffering with serious problems, it is always best to talk to a trained professional. For most of you though, these techniques should begin to give you some form of insight into the deeper workings of your own mind and if applied conscientiously, should also give you the beginnings of a means for change.

We’ll look at some more examples and what to do with what you discover in the next lesson.

Until then,

Very best wishes,
